What should I wear for rafting?

Do I need experience to raft?

Not at all! Our guides will teach you everything. The Rio Grande Float and Racecourse are great for beginners. The Taos Box requires ages 13+ due to Class IV rapids.

How old do you have to be to raft?

Most trips are open to ages 5 and up. The Taos Box requires ages 13+. The Rio Chama multi-day is recommended for ages 8+. The minimum age on the Float section is 3 and up in most conditions.

What's included in the price?

All trips include a safety orientation, PFDs (life jackets), and transportation to and from the river. Full-day trips include riverside lunch. Multi-day trips include all meals from Day 1 lunch to Day 3 lunch.

What is the cancellation policy?

Day trips require 72 hours notice for a full refund. Multi-day Rio Chama trips require 14 days notice prior to your start date for a full refund.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), cash, and Apple Pay/Google Pay. We also accept Venmo and PayPal for guide tips.

Yes! We offer discounts for groups of 8 or more on most tours. Contact us directly for group pricing. We also do private tours for corporate events, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and family reunions.

What happens if it rains?

We run trips rain or shine — a little weather makes for a better adventure! The only time we cancel is if conditions become unsafe (lightning, extreme flooding). If we cancel, you receive a full refund or can reschedule.

Do I need to be physically fit to raft?

Most of our trips are suitable for people of average fitness. You should be able to hold a paddle and brace yourself in the raft. The Taos Box is more demanding and requires reasonable fitness. Let us know about any concerns when booking.
