Everything You Need To Know
Everything you need to know before your Mesa Verde tour
Mesa Verde tours run from late May through October. Summer months (June-August) are the busiest. Early June and September offer the best balance of good weather and smaller crowds. Cliff Palace tours are only available when the park opens them — typically late May through mid-October.
Mesa Verde tours involve moderate physical activity. Cliff Palace requires descending and climbing stone steps and ladders (about 100 steps down and back up). You should be comfortable with heights, uneven surfaces, and an elevation of 7,000+ feet. Let us know about any mobility concerns when booking.
All three tours visit the same sites and include Cliff Palace tickets. The Express Tour is a standard guided tour. The Group Tour runs with other travelers — great for solo visitors. The Private Tour is exclusively for your group with personalized pacing and attention.
All Mesa Verde tours require 72 hours notice for a full refund. Trip insurance is available for 8% of your booking total — cancel up to 12 hours before departure for an 80% refund.
